Laser Therapy
Erchonia Laser Therapy
Molly’s practice includes the Erchonia GVL, a low-level laser therapy (LLLT) device — sometimes called “cold laser” therapy because, unlike higher-intensity therapeutic lasers, it works without heat or any cutting, making it completely non-invasive and painless.
How It Works
Every cell in the body relies on tiny energy-producing structures called mitochondria to function and repair itself. The GVL uses two wavelengths of light — green (520nm) and violet (405nm) — to gently stimulate this process at the cellular level:
- Green light targets a specific step in the cell’s energy-production pathway (Complex III of the electron transport chain) to support the body’s natural healing and energy production
- Violet light works on earlier steps in that same pathway, and is also known for its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties
Together, this dual-wavelength combination is designed to accelerate tissue repair, support healthy inflammation response, and improve mobility — all through light alone, with no heat, needles, or downtime. A typical session takes just 10–20 minutes.
What It Can Help With
The Erchonia GVL is FDA-cleared for the temporary relief of minor chronic neck and shoulder pain of musculoskeletal origin, and its violet wavelength is separately cleared to treat moderate inflammatory acne. In practice, low-level laser therapy is also used more broadly to support:
- Pain and inflammation in muscles and joints
- Post-injury and post-procedure recovery
- Range-of-motion and mobility limitations
- Skin healing and clarity
As with any of the modalities in Molly’s practice, laser therapy is most often woven into a broader session rather than used as a stand-alone treatment — one more tool to support your body’s own capacity to heal.
Additional Ways Clients Use Laser Therapy
Beyond its FDA-cleared uses, low-level laser therapy is also used more broadly in integrative and wellness settings to support the body’s natural repair processes. These are not FDA-cleared indications for the GVL specifically, but reflect how LLLT is commonly incorporated into general wellness care:
- Non-healing or slow-healing wounds
- Chronic or stubborn infections
- Postoperative recovery and healing
- Bone healing
- Nerve irritation and neurological trauma
- General stress and nervous system regulation
- Scar tissue and skin health
- Overall vitality and cellular energy support
-
These broader applications are offered as general wellness support, not as treatment for any diagnosed condition.
The Erchonia GVL is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It is FDA-cleared for specific indications as noted above; use for other purposes is considered adjunctive, general wellness support.
